The World Missions Offering allows us to encourage great ministry beyond our Abilene community. By giving to this offering you help our partners provide clean drinking water in Guatemala, job opportunities for coffee farmers in SE Asia and space for worship in the South Bronx (NY). Community Assistance Led by Members (CALM) is designed to connect our church family members with our neighbors who are faced with various challenges. Volunteers are needed to meet, pray and discuss resources with neighbors. Training provided. Contact Nathan for more info.


The Alameda Community Center exists to help neighborhood families connect with God and each other, discover their gifts and utilize these gifts to develop a stronger community. Volunteers are welcome to help with prayer, home visits and joining neighbors at the Center for activities. If you would like to help with this ministry or have questions please contact Erica.

 

Nehemiah Ministry seeks to help widows and families in need with home repair projects. If you would like to help with this ministry or have questions please contact Dean.

 

Nursing Home Ministry exists to encourage residents at two of our local care facilities. If you would like to help with activities throughout the week at Willow Springs call Sally at 325-692-2172 or if you are interested in helping on Sundays at Windcrest connect with Peggy.

 

Shining Star Fellowship is a mission church of Pioneer and is located on the corner of South 3rd and Palm.  Volunteers are needed to care for children, mentor youth, teach adults, drive a van or help in other ways. House of Faith is a ministry focused on children, youth and families living in at-risk neighborhoods in Abilene. Volunteers are needed to teach lessons, listen to memory verses, play games, organize materials, visit homes, and set up events. Christian Women’s Job Corps seeks to empower women through job training and life skills classes.  Volunteers are needed to mentor participants, teach classes, provide meals and work in the office.  If you would like to help with this ministry or have questions please contact Darla.

 

Habitat for Humanity invites people to build together in partnership with Abilene families moving toward home ownership. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to work on homes or help with administrative tasks. If you would like to connect with this ministry contact Michelle.

 

Baptist Social Ministries helps meet basic needs for local families. Volunteers are needed to sack/stock groceries, pray with families and work in the office  If you would like to help with this ministry or have questions please contact Yogi.
