Monday Lunch

Leader: Stan Allcorn

Location: Room 154 (Starts Sept 10th)

Description: Men are encouraged to bring a lunch and go through this 6-week video-based study called The Man Code by Christian comedian and author, Dennis Swanberg.  It is a powerful tool to help men reorganize their thoughts and revolutionize their lives by learning to form meaningful relationships, starting with God and branching out from there.

Time: 6 p.m.

Leader: Jeff Scott

Location: Room 154 (Starts September 5th)

Description: Most men know specific Bible stories, but do they know the overarching story of the Bible? While the Bible is a collection of 66 books, the reigning theme that still holds eternal implications for our lives today is God’s powerful story of redemption. Through DVD sessions, join Eric Geiger to explore this 8-week study of the story of a God who loves us, longs to be known by us, and ultimately invites us into His story. Though there are many heroes in the Old and New Testaments, you’ll discover the one true Hero of our faith: Jesus.

Fight Club

Time: 6 p.m.

Leader: Paul Naredo

Location: Room 116 (Starts September 9th)

Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslin home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost again his will, evidence hat Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man's heart - and the peace he eventually found in Jesus.

1:20 groups

I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have a sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

These small groups get their name from Philippians 1:20. They are designed to help men have the strength to live a life of biblical courage. The groups will meet at various times during the week. There will be a Q and A time each week and a study to work through. Once a group is formed, they will be closed. Closing a group gives its members the confidence and trust knowing what goes on in their group will stay in the group. With accountability in mind, men will be challenged to have the courage to be honest, to be different, to grow in their relationship with God, to stand up for those in need, to have a pure thought life, to be faithful with God's resources, and to trust God with their futures. For more information about starting or being part of a 1:20 group, contact Jeff Scott.

The relationship with a father and son is so important.  It has led our men’s ministry to create a Father-Son retreat at Camp Eagle. This weekend will be unlike any other retreat we have at Pioneer Drive. It is a special weekend full of adventure, structured conversations with your son or sons, and memories you and your boy(s) will never forget.
